Our Criteria

To work with us as a support worker, you will need to hold:

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • A NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • At least two year of relevant experience with Complex Participants
  • A current first aid & CPR certificate
  • A current drivers license
  • A relevant qualification
  • A current police check
  • Car insurance and car

Our Hiring Process

Disability Support Worker

Job description

At aspiring futures SA, Our Vision is to provide exceptional, personalized care for people with disability with complex needs.

We are committed to delivering quality NDIS care and fully customized support to our NDIS participants’ needs. Choosing the right support team can make an enormous difference to well-being, so we’ll genuinely listen to NDIS participants’ goals and support and empower our staff team to achieve positive outcomes that will help clients live happy and fulfilled lives supporting independent living and community participation.

Currently, we are looking for – EXPERIENCED and RESILIENT Support Workers to Support our NDIS participant in the residential house. Based on the needs of our NDIS participants, we need support workers with great Positive Attitudes and Excellent and Clear English Speaking and Writing skills.

EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING COMPLEX BEHAVIOURS – WE HAVE MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE ALL OVER ADELAIDE.

    • Excellent Communication Skills – Verbal and Written
    • Provide leadership to the team, acting as a positive role model at all times 
    • Lead the shift, ensuring staff give support that follows individual’s plans 
    • Experience in writing excellent quality Incident Reports and Daily Reports
    • Handling Complex or Challenging situations or Behavior calmly and rationally
    • Maintain accurate, factual records as required, in addition to monitoring and reporting the participant’s progression with personal goal achievement in accordance with the Behavior Support Plan and the Support Plan
    • Experience in implementing specialist behaviour support strategies
    • Provide a range of goal-oriented support services that enable consumers to achieve their goals (including independent living in the community, personal care, community engagement, self-care, shopping, budgeting, safety and family contact).
    • Strong ability to support and upskill individuals to gain confidence in their personal care
    • Experience or knowledge of alternative communication methods
    • Other ad hoc tasks asked by the manager
    • Maintaining the client’s privacy and confidentiality
    • A kind and caring personality with an inclusive attitude

    Clearance Required

    • Certificate IV in Disability (or higher qualification)
    • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)
    • Assist Client with Medication Training
    • Safety Intervention Training Desirable
    • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check and Child Related Employment Screening / Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
    • Current SA Driver’s License
    • You have the right to work in Australia
    • COVID-19 vaccination or hold a valid medical exemption certificate
